Dale is a member of the Key group at reSolutions and has developed some good relationships due to his interactions. His consultant, Karen who also leads the Key group, has commented on his development as an individual as being "amazing, if you knew Dale even six months ago, you wouldn't recognise the person that he has become now".
Karen has described Dale as "quiet and unassuming, but truly dedicated to his commitments. He has developed excellent people skills, his confidence hasgrown and that is increasingly obvious in his personality and his work ethic". Dale had volunteered for a while witha local hospital gaining a boost to his confidence, self-esteem and motivation in addition to attending the Key. In addition to having a good relationship with his Consultant,
Dale has allowed the agency to speak with his employer on his behalf. This has led to a very good working relationship with Woolworths, allowing us to continue to assist Dale both inside and outside the workplace. reSolutions is continuing to provide Dale with support during his transition to work.
Mick
Client Michael 'Mick' has been working at East Creek Community Centre for the last 3 months. In that time, Mick has been an active part of the team that created the garden, recently featured in the local paper, that won an award. Mick has been an active client at reSolutions, participating in personal training, the Key group as well as being proactive in seeking work.
This latest achievement of Mick is typical of his positive attitude and proof of the hard work that he has put in on both his work skills and personal development.
Kerry, Mick's Consultant, speaks very highly of him and says "Mick is really a fantastic guy, he puts his mind to something and really follows it through".
From all of us here at reSolutions, we extend our congratulations to both East Creek Community Centre and Mick on a job well done!
Andrew
My name is Andrew and I am a client of Resolutions Employment Services. I have been dealing with serious mental illness for 6 years and in the past have needed around the clock care to be able to live. I still require a high level of support today but thanks to reSolutions I am now working.
I remember discussing with my Employment Consultant during one of my appointments that I was passionate in detailing cars. Within a few months my Employment Consultant found me a position working as a detailer at a local car dealership. I was a "Disclosure Client" which meant reSolutions could tell my employer about my condition and they were supportive from day one. My Employment Consultant worked with my specialist medical practitioners who I am required to see on a regular basis and my employer, to ensure the position suited my ability and did not over burden me. This was all done by my Employment Consultant in the back ground so I could just focus on performing for my new employer. My Employment Consultant even was driving me to work and to my accommodation for the first week which showed me that they really cared for my well being and seeing me succeed. My Employment Consultant has been visiting me regularly to monitor my performance and is always willing to provide on the job support.
Without reSolutions it would have been very difficult for me to find employment in my current medical state.
Kylie
Kylie started with reSolutions in October 2009. Born in Canada, she is a First Nations person (Canadian Indian), but has been raised in Australia since she was 4yrs old. Kylie's Employment Consultant Carmen has developed a strong supportive relationship with Kylie and has great respect for her determination. " I find her to be not only the happiest person you'll ever meet but also the most positive" said Carmen.
Kylie has fought back from alcohol addiction, personal tragedy, and trauma, and dealing with the symptoms of extreme mental illness which she still manages on a day to day basis.
Kylie is now 2IC of an After School Care program and is studying for a Bachelor of Social Science. She has her sights set on one day assisting others who want to make positive changes by making people aware of the many organisations available to them, and also developing programs to be more accessible, more focussed on modern issues, and more multicultural.
Kylie stated that with the assistance and support of her Employment Consultant Carmen; her case manager, Aaron from Adult Mental Health Unit; support from family and friends, and attending programs made available by reSolutions, she has been able to turn her life into a more positive direction, and hopes that others can also seek assistance and benefit from the various organisations in our community.
